"In February, Britain's Southwark Crown Court ordered so-called "countess" Eida Beguinua to give back the equivalent of $1.2 million to investors who had believed her story that she could recover treasures in the Philippines but needed money for expenses. Despite the setback, she told the judge that she was sticking with her story and begged him for more time to look for the "22 caves," protected by "10,000" guards, containing tons of jewelry and gold worth "300 followed by 41 zeros" (presumably in British pounds)."

The least you can do is to be honest. I have the right to know. I need to know.
And the conincidental result of my actions, as highlighted in the orange box in the screen capture, made me realise how the everyday choices we make determine the directions in which our life will unfold.
The choice I made, to have a laptop instead of a desktop. The choice I made, to have an NEC instead of an Acer. The choice I made, to protect myself with an antivirus instead of leaving myself vulnerable. The choice I made, to have bought KasperSky instead of Norton. The choice I made, to have read news on CNN rather than study for tomorrow Math paper. The choice I made, to have decided to read the article on Conficker instead of the millions of other articles on CNN. The choice I made, to update my KasperSky instead of just believing that Conficker is a world away from me. The choice I made, to have updated at a particular time instead of +/- 1 second before or after. The choice I made, to recheck the update status instead of sticking to my usual routine of not doing so.
And finally, the choice I made to make a big thing out of nothing just to make it that tad bit bloggable. (:
Funny isnt it? The power choices have over your life.
Mere coincidence? Or is this a sign?
Maybe I will get screwed over by the worm in the end. Or maybe I wont fail Math afterall, tomorrow. Hmm. I wonder.
"Gildazio Costa, 54, was arrested in Framingham, Mass., in February and charged with kidnapping and beating his girlfriend following a five-hour-long argument they were having about what the operating hours are for the local library."

"According to police in Longview, Wash., a 57-year-old woman entered a Winco Foods store at 5 a.m. on March 2 and did not leave the store until 5 p.m., and upon exit, paid for about $80 worth of groceries but also possessed about 100 other small, concealed items such as greeting cards, sunglasses and batteries (the total value of which was about $300). She had spent at least part of the day surreptitiously removing the items' packaging so they would not appear to be the store's stock."

""Reproduction is no fun if you're a squid," said a biologist at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, referring especially to the deep-sea squid. Finding a mate a mile down in pitch-darkness is hard enough, but the combination of males that are smaller and fearful of being overpowered and females whose reception of sperm involves being stabbed makes the insemination process especially traumatic. Sperm deposits can be extensive and burdensome to the female and are delivered by the reckless slashing of the skin by the male. In fact, according to a December report in Germany's Der Spiegel, in the darkness the male sometimes misses the female altogether and inseminates himself. "

Omg. You're so not gonna believe this! While trying to learn how to play La Bamba on my guitar just now, the neighbours upstairs started singing it on their Karaoke set! What conincidence! Haha.
Anyway, As results were released yesterday. Well, TJ did reasonably well as a whole, but I dont think the same can be said of the graduated computing class.
Stunned faces, speechless expressions, "Fuck" replies. I feel for every single one of them who feel they havent done justice to their potential.
In a sense, I feel Ive let them down by not having gone through this with them, abandoning them to repeat Year 1. Afterall they were my classmates in my 1st, 1st year in TJ. [Haha. I just HAD to say it.]
In any case, the fact still remains. My fate hasnt been sealed yet. It IS still in my hands.

What will it be? I alone have the power to decide.
"In January, an appeals court in Newark, N.J., reinstated Doris Sexton's worker-compensation lawsuit against a county-owned nursing home where Sexton had claimed that breathing a co-worker's perfume one day in 2004 had made her permanently disabled and tethered to an oxygen tank. A lower court had decided that it was far more likely that her disability was caused by Sexton's 43-year, pack-a-day cigarette habit than by the brief exposure to perfume."
