LMAO. Obviously, some people have other ideas about how the Olympic spirit should be.

And so it is. Its the last day of the Beijing Olympics 2008. It started off with a bang, with an extremely breath-taking opening ceremony. And Im sure there is only possibility of it ending with a hell of a closing ceremony to come in just a while.

So at the end of a tremendously enjoyable 2 weeks, I shall pay tribute to my favourite event of the Beijing Olympics 2008.

The Team Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Theres just something about the dancing, the music, the rhythm, the gymnastics, the skills, the choreography, and the synchronisation.

One can only begin to imagine the hardwork these gymnasts, and all athletes for the matter, have put in over the course of their preparations for the games.

Saw this on Mr Brown's blog quite some time ago, but forgot to post it. Here it is.

Whats wrong with me!? Was reading the Newpaper today, and while flipping page 70 with the article on the Table Tennis girls, I could almost swear I saw the title as "How They Von"! Like seriously! My world is tamilising itself! God.

Anyway, this week has just been a really bad and depressing week. Not many positives to take out of it. It was just really sickly and stuff. Hmm. It started on the National Day holiday on Monday, which was my last post before this. That's my excuse for my week-long absence from blogging, by the way. Haha.

Anyway, went for the talk on Sustainable Development at the National Environment Agency building in Newton today. The conference hall was on the 25th storey, and it had a super nice view from up there can?

The talk was quite okay, I guess. Haha. I guess Im sort of more interested in the topic, realising its importance. And when I said realise, I dont mean the read textbook and understand its importance type of realise. Haha.

Saw many interesting videos in the talk today. Here are some I managed to find again on the internet.

This, is abit of a no-link. Lol. But funny all the same.

And this, is real inspiration.

Oh ya! Before going for the talk, I was in the canteen talking with Luowei when the 2608ers' bus drove past. LOL.

I had other things to blog about today, but Im totally not in any condition to do so.

As of now since this morning, I've vomitted 3 times, had diarrhoea 2 times, and have had this 1 fever for the whole day.

Oh. Did I mention, I totally have 0 energy right now.

Im so GONE.

Some pictures from National Day yesterday. Haha.

The nation flag flying past near my house. Haha.

The heart shape. Though its not really visible in the picture because of the dark clouds.

Sad sia. I wont get to see all these helicopters and fighter jets flying around anymore after I move house. Sighs.

Oh well, after watching the Bejing Olympics Opening Ceremony the day before and then National Day Parade yesterday, there is really only one thing I have to say. The NDP really is pathetically pale in comparison. Haha. Its totally a no-fight.

Selamat Hari Lahir, Singapura!

Its National Day! Like finally. Though I have to say I was looking forward to it because of the accompanying holiday, more than anything else. Haha.

Most people I saw out an about outside today were wearing the red-white clothing combination. But instead of being influenced by this sea of red into feeling for the nation, I was reminded fondly of my late grandfather because I remembered that heartwarming incident which happened this very day last year.

I still remember as if it was yesterday, that he had gone out to meet some friends on that day. When he came home, he exclaimed with bewilderment that all the people he met on the streets had gone crazy. And when we probed further, he said something like this, but in dialect. "I think they all siao liao, everyone suddenly also wear red. I think they're possessed by ghosts." This very statement made us all laugh until our faces were that shade of bright red. Haha.

I dont supposed you guys get it. Haha. Oh well, It may not seem like much to you, but it definitely means alot to me. Sighs.

Sometimes I think Discovery Channel just comes up with the nicest videos and the most catchy tunes. This one's stuck in my head.

It never gets old huh?
Nope.
It kinda make you wanna break into song?
Yep.
I love the mountains.
I love the clear blue skies.
I love big bridges.
I love when great whites fly.
I love the whole world.
And all its sights and sounds.
Boom De Yada [x4]
I love the ocean.
I love real dirty things.
I love to go fast.
I love egyptian kings.
I love the whole world.
And all its craziness.
Boom De Yada. [x4]
I love tornadoes.
I love Arachnids.
I love hot magma.
I love the giant squids.
I love the whole world.
Its such a brilliant place.
Boom De Yada. [x10]

For some reason, it makes you want to appreciate the world around you. Even if it were to be just that little wee bit more.

Rules of Engagement:

#1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
I'd smile, turn around and walk away, not saying anything. But deep down inside, I'd be heartbroken, of course.

#2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
To have more dreams come true! Like, duh!

#3. What will your dream wedding be like?
Private. With only the people I want to share that special day with. (: It wont be a big affair where I invite people I hardly know. Waste my money, and waste their time.

#4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Somewhat, you can say. To tell the truth, Im not even sure what to expect.

#5. What’s your ideal lover like?
I guess I look for the simplest thing in people. She just has to love me, and be loveable for me to love her.

#6. Which is more blessed? Loving someone or being loved by someone?
Depends really. Isnt that always the case? Whats love without it being reciprocrated? And of course, being loved without being able to give anything back would mean nothing, however guilty I may feel.

#7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?
If I see a possibility of being together, as long as it takes. If I know its not going to happen, not very long.

#8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Put those feelings aside, and wait. Refer to #7. I will not allow myself to wreck anybody else's relationship. How would you like it if someone did the same to yours?

#9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Maybe. But I'd say the unhappiness is nothing compared to what I had to go through last year. I should like to think Im quite happy, and cheerful, this year. Haha. Am I?

#10. Is being tagged fun?
Once in awhile, maybe. Haha.

#11. How do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Balding, with a beer belly? Oh, OH. You meant situation wise? Hmm. I dont know. Married, with a stable job. Earning lots of money, trying my best to make my family happy. I dont really want to be like the typical adult though. Serious, maturish and stuff. Whats life without fun? You should live life the way you want to.

#12. Who are currently the most important people to you?
Her, my family, and my friends? Generally people who feel I am important to them.

#13. What kind of person do you think the one who tagged you is?
LAME, like everyone else would say. But he's also someone who knows how to have fun, and just a great guy to be around with. Abang Koh! Thanks for being my brother okay? Just in case I get killed, AGAIN.

#14. Would you rather be rich and single or married but poor?
Married but poor. You'll find love to be a very special thing. Something you could survive on.

#15. What’s the first thing you do every morning?
Wake up? And then wishing I hadnt. I know, Im lazy. (:

#16. Would you give it all in a relationship?
Yes. I wouldnt want to look back it, or anything for that matter, knowing that I could have done more.

#17. If you fall in love with 2 people simultaneously, who would you pick?
I wouldnt. Thats not love, is it?

#18. What type of friends do you like?
I like all my friends! Thats why I make friends with them in the first place.

#19. What type of friends do you dislike?
Why would you be friends with people whom you dislike? If I really had to say though, probably those who dont really know you, but pretend and act as if they do.

Okay. I actually had trouble trying to find 8 people to tag. -_-" AND, I dont really see the point in the quiz. Haha. I'd bet my answers are just like everyone else's. Hmm.
